Exceptionally Crafted Custom Doors & Millwork

CNC Operator

We’re looking for someone with a machining mindset and a maker’s spirit—someone who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and taking pride in work that will be seen, touched, and appreciated for decades.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and programming, with the ability to operate CNC machinery effectively.

Every door we create is tailored to a specific architectural vision, which means our CNC Operators do far more than push buttons. They read between the lines of shop drawings, think critically about joinery and tolerances, and help translate design intent into precision-milled components. This is a hands-on, high-skill role at the heart of how we bring exceptional doors to life.

Qualifications

  • Bring a solid background in machining and programming, with the confidence to operate CNC machinery with accuracy and care
  • Have proven experience as a CNC Operator—or in a closely related role—within a manufacturing environment
  • Possess strong mechanical knowledge, backed by hands-on experience in both machining and fabrication processes
  • Be comfortable programming CNC machinery and working with CAD/CAM software to turn concepts into components
  • Work well independently, but also know when to collaborate, troubleshoot, and share insights with the team to keep projects moving forward
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts precisely to spec
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to plan machining operations
  • Use precision instruments like calipers and tape measures to ensure every part meets tight tolerances
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to keep everything running at peak performance
  • Handle materials safely, efficiently, and with attention to quality
  • Work alongside a skilled team to troubleshoot challenges and continuously improve our production process

Duties

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts that match exact specifications
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to plan precise machining steps
  • Use calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools to verify tolerances and ensure dimensional accuracy
  • Perform regular maintenance on CNC equipment to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime
  • Safely and efficiently handle raw materials and finished components throughout the workflow
  • Team up with colleagues to troubleshoot production challenges and implement continuous improvements

Experience

  • Proven track record as a CNC Operator or in a comparable manufacturing role
  • Strong mechanical understanding, paired with hands-on experience in machining and fabrication
  • Comfortable programming CNC machines and using CAD/CAM software in a real-world production setting
  • Experience with materials handling is a plus, though not required
  • Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member
