The Nevada Project

While Dave Floyd was visiting a furniture store in Sugarcreek, Ohio, someone suggested he contact Rockwood Doors & Millwork for some help with his home construction project.

We partnered with Dave on his house, then several other jobs. Through Dave, we’ve connected with several contractors and construction companies and introduced them to the level of service Rockwood provides.

One such opportunity provided some challenges. A Boulder City home boasted a unique design. To fully grasp the type of work we’d be doing, we took two trips out west and spent many days onsite. Most of the doors in the home were circle top, half-round doors. The hallways and corners were rounded, filled with lots of curves, twists, and turns (all of which necessitated specialty pieces) as well as curved baseboards, curved eyebrow arch window trim, and crown molding in every room (including the furnace room). We templated every single piece in the home and provided an incomparable level of customization for the homeowner.
