Pecky Cypress Doors

The Vision

For this luxury residence, we were tasked with crafting custom interior doors that would not only complement the refined design but also highlight the rustic charm of Pecky Cypress—a wood prized for its unique, natural holes. Our approach was to blend aesthetics with functionality, ensuring the final product was both beautiful and durable.

The Build

To create these doors, we selected Clear Cypress for the rails and stiles, ensuring a stable, visually appealing frame that lets the Pecky Cypress panels take center stage. The doors were designed with waterfall panels, allowing the wood grain to flow smoothly from top to bottom. To maintain privacy and strength, we double-layered the panels, carefully aligning them so that the distinctive holes of the Pecky Cypress didn’t compromise the door’s integrity.

The outcome? A stunning set of dozens of doors that not only elevate the home’s luxurious feel but also showcase the rare beauty of Pecky Cypress in a practical, eye-catching way.
