Exceptionally Crafted Custom Doors & Millwork

A Modern Mahogany Entry Door

Greenwich Harbor House

The Vision

Designed to integrate architecture, landscape, and light, the Greenwich Harbor House called for every element to meet exacting design standards. The architect envisioned an entry that would reflect the home’s modern geometry while introducing warmth and craft. The door would need to merge seamlessly with the panelized façade—clean, minimal, and precise—while announcing the quality of what lies within. Rockwood was selected to bring this concept to life through a custom-built door that would balance structural integrity with refined detail.

The Build

The full-height door and adjacent sidelight create a clean, balanced entry that mirrors the rhythm of the facade. Crafted from Genuine Mahogany the door features a large stainless steel pull plate that forms a subtle vertical accent within the horizontal lines of the design.

Precision spacing of the planks, aligned perfectly with the pull plate, reveal slender stainless steel strips that continue across the door and frame its overall composition. For a project defined by precision and restraint, the door required a level of craftsmanship that could not be sourced off the shelf. Rockwood delivered a fully custom build that integrates seamlessly with the architecture, modern in form and made to match a vision of uncompromising design.
